Because words
deserve just as
much attention
as visual identity.
Is your brand narrative feeling neglected?
Communicating in verbal and written form - and being able to express what you and your brand are about clearly and consistently - can be tricky.
You might be having a conversation in a coffee shop, delivering a pitch or sharing social messaging.
Whatever that looks
like, if it doesn’t
make sense
to you, how are
you able to
articulate that
to your audience.
The outcome? Messaging that feels inconsistent or a bit all over the shop.
Different mediums often need different messaging because one size rarely fits all.
Influenced by my background in visual arts and marketing, I bring an editorial eye to my offering, crafting words that work, not just fill space.
Whatever the stage of your business, I guide you by turning ideas into language that lands so you can start showing up clearly and confidently in your storytelling and messaging.
When you start scrolling, you might think to yourself “this is too niche and playful.”
I’m not a one‑trick pony when it comes to brand messaging and storytelling. I know how to flex content in a variety of tones, contexts and markets for different audiences - I have experience doing exactly that across global and local contexts.
The proof is in the
pudding. This is just
a SLICE.
I have featured a curated mix of images and brand mentions throughout Whipped Words. They are included purely to demonstrate my approach to storytelling, voice and creative writing. All images, trademarks and brand assets remain the property of their respective owners and are used for illustrative purposes only.
The 365‑day glow
edit
Beauty isn’t seasonal. Our skin and hair deserve attention no matter the occasion. And if, like me, you’re looking for products to keep you satisfied 365 days a year, here are a few cosmetic wonders to switch up your beauty routine and show up with that extra bit of confidence.
From magic moisturisers and make‑up must‑haves to hair hacks, these are the gifts that keep on giving - season after season, mood after mood. Little luxuries that help you feel a little more magical, even on the down days.
Some products just work: the moisturisers that stay loyal through heatwaves and cold snaps, the make‑up must‑haves that deliver on sleepy mornings and spontaneous evenings, the hair heroes that revive on demand. A silky serum, the soft click of a compact, a shampoo scent that lingers just long enough.
Think of this as your 365‑day beauty wardrobe: pieces that work hard, look good and make you feel even better. Products that don’t need a season or a special occasion to earn their place - they simply show up for you, every single day.
Whether you’re refreshing your routine or craving a few new additions to spark joy, this edit is here to guide you. When you feel good in your skin - truly good - everything else follows. If you want to explore categories individually, tap into magic moisturisers, make‑up must‑haves or hair hacks.

January blues or
delightful denims?
After the buzz, bustle and relaxation of the Christmas break, we’re back to the reality of work, hitting the gym and, for many of us, replacing cocktails with a much‑needed detox courtesy of Dry January.
January can, for so many, feel like a long month - financially and emotionally - but let’s look on the bright side: pozzie vibes only in 2026. You can rock denim all year round, of course, but this month, when things seem a little dull, let’s hone in on a different kind of blues and shake them off in style.
Has denim ever faded out of fashion? Absolutely not. Year after year, delightful denim splashes feature left, right and centre on magazine covers, grids and runways.
To help you on your way with denim dressing succession this winter, I’ve selected six versatile investments for your wardrobe - and, importantly, without a hefty price tag.
Because it’s not where you buy it, it’s how you wear it, right?

International Flamenco Fashion Week, also known as SIMOF, is a celebration of couture where cultures converge and styles evolve, showcasing both emerging talent and established designers. And if that isn't enough, catwalks and collections are on show simultaneously at We Love Flamenco (WLF).
Before we delve into the trends that were all the rage on stage at WLF and SIMOF, here's an index to admire from 2023 - because who doesn't love a throwback.
Bossing it in blue: this punchy design by Antonio Gutierrez embraced a lapis shade of blue balanced with pops of colour through intricate floral embroidery finished with minimalistic cropped trousers; a tailored triumph.
Regal ruffles: this black and white combination by Rosa Pedroche oozed class. Subtle hints of red, magenta and orange accessories completed the look, mirroring the colour palette of sangria.
Hips don't lie: Pilar Rubio combined a killer lime core and a striking shoulder section, adding texture through long lace sleeves; a sensationally structured design.
One: Mesmerising metallics catching the spotlight with snippets of seductive silver. Design by Juan Manolo.
Two: Maid frills in the mix, design by Alonso Cozar.
Three: A rosada base, rouge ruffles and sections of upper body and hemline tassels gently swaying down the catwalk. Design by Juan Manolo.

Hand creams
for soft skin
Say hello to your hand heroes
Having a quality hand cream or balm stashed in your handbag is a must all year round. Remember, you've got the whole world in your hands and they deserve the best hydration.
I'm not going to preach to the choir, but keeping your hands, nails and cuticles well moisturised can make all the difference. Let's be honest, retailers stack ‘em like there's no tomorrow and often, it's hard to know which product to pick to squeeze out that TLC.
To help you discover some of the best nourishing and non-greasy hand creams, I've curated a short catalogue of products with super-charged ingredients so you can select something new.
Go on, let your hands feel grand and soak it all up, because you're worth it.

The fashion brigade have descended onto the cobblestone streets of Denmark’s capital for the return of A/W Copenhagen Fashion Week (CPHFW). CPHFW was established in 2006 and has continued to raise the bar year after year, attracting fashion enthusiasts and designers from all over the globe.
To name only a few, designs from Henrik Vibskov and Won Hundred have hit the runway - and not only that, there is something to be said about styling on the streets, embracing the fact that there is no such thing as being too bold; you just need to own it. Here's a glimpse.

Two become one:
highlighting high-
street fashion &
beauty
As teenagers in the 2000s, my girlfriends and I would head out with our weekly pocket money, stroll down the street singing “Maybe it’s Maybelline” and talk about the new long‑lash mascara we’d seen advertised on TV.
We’d saunter into our local Boots and Superdrug, roaming the aisles and spending far too much time choosing our favourite scent of Lip Smacker gloss, Urban Decay eye shadow and matching face masks for our sleepover club. IRL shopping was the done thing, but one‑stop shops definitely hadn’t dropped.
With the eclipse of e‑commerce, social media and shifts in consumer behaviour, high streets have been feeling the brunt for a while. Why would you head out browsing for hours when fashion and beauty fixes are available at the drop of a hat and delivered to your doorstep?
The beauty and cosmetics industry is a multi‑billion‑pound space, so high‑street hubs need to step up to thrive - not just survive. The likes of Primark, H&M, Zara and & Other Stories have done exactly that, curating beauty zones to double up as fashion‑and‑beauty destinations.
Here are some cosmetics hooks for every look. Go on, embrace some high‑street fusion.
H&M go on then
Have you ever set out with a solid shade in mind or an idea of the pigment you fancy? Raoúl Alejandre, H&M Beauty’s first‑ever global makeup artist, is here to mix things up and sway your selections.

Above: 1. Fabrice, 2. Garden Party, 3. Thanks a Latte, 4. Poppy Love. Vegan friendly and formulated with hyaluronic acid, full list here.
Make-up guru, Alejandre literally does it all so of course he has created the "Do-It-All-Stick" to satisfy a trio of needs for lips, cheeks and eyes. View the spectacular selections here. 1. Rusty Rose, 2. Tour De Contour, 3. Peachy Glow
If you're looking for a tube of triumph that will soak your skin and build a sheer base for your face, look no further.
In shades of honeycomb you’ll want to take home, cashew just for you, or maybe a tint of maple that becomes your staple, this line‑up has you covered. For contour galore, check out what’s in store here.
The Perfect Hydration Foundation range is available in 28 pigments, packed with vitamin E and hyaluronic acid, giving a long‑lasting hydration sensation no matter your skin type.

Fashion Week
Some more to adore? Go on then.
New York Fashion Week (NYFW) needs no introduction, but the lady behind the magic certainly deserves a mention. That lady is Eleanor Lambert, America's fashion press powerhouse and my God, was she on a mission to achieve her vision.
In 1941, Lambert established the New York Dress Institute bringing together clothing manufacturers in New York and The International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union (ILGWU). Fast-forward two years, Lambert established NYFW, thank you darling. It just goes to show that perseverance always pays off.
Year after year, Lambert's legacy lives on providing a platform for established designers and enabling emerging talent to shine at the forefront of fashion.
And it's back for Winter / Fall 2024 giving us some more to adore. So what was all the rage on stage?

Christmas: a feature
for December
Are you staring down the barrel of a jam-packed festive schedule? Perhaps you're more of the "fewer plans, the better" type, or, to quote the legendary Hovis bread brand, maybe you've got "the best of both" worlds this season.
Key questions - where are you heading, what’s the group chat saying, and how much time do you have to get ready? These are the deciding factors in any outfit design decisions. I get it - stressful moments when you’re in the thick of it.
Simply put, are you dressing to the nines, going hybrid with casual sophistication, or staying in to hibernate and snuggle on down? The only non-negotiable accessory is - guess what - a paper hat, freshly delivered from the push, pull, and tug of a cracker.
Just like Terry's Chocolate Orange, Christmas fashion has quite a few segments. A mix of over-the-top glitz and glam vibes to "R is for relax," where you kick back in your comfies, bask with a selection box by your side and can't find the remote because it's wedged in the sofa somewhere.
Hands up if you're ready to embrace jumbo jumpers, a relaxed-fit velvet number, and a fluffy maxi skirt with an elasticated waistband? I’m sure you are. I bet you’re also just as excited about diving into the glitz and glam whilst indulging in too much ham, a decadent portion of pigs in blankets and all the other trimmings.
To help you sleigh your style, I've curated a cluster of show-stopping, sophisticated, and snuggly items so you arrive in style, feeling relaxed and in comfort for every slice of the season.
Take a look at these brands to bookmark.

’Tis the season once again.
Maybe you're on board the festive‑frolics train with lots to look forward to, or you're in a completely different seat feeling overwhelmed and exhausted.
We’re all guilty of scrolling, comparing and thinking about how we can curate a “golden” grid all year round, or ruminating about what isn’t there - and let’s be honest, Christmas is no exception to the rule.
If you're going to spend time dressing the house in glitzy décor and splashing out on a few too many mulled wines, it’s essential to create space for some self‑love spritz - and I don’t mean the bubbly kind.
This Christmas, let your sparkle come from within, with a little help from Moon Creations.
It looked good enough to eat, and trust me when I say there’s a reason this graced the page - it is just magical.
Vegan, cruelty‑free and truly irresistible, Moon Creations pots are available in eight stunning shades. The perfect addition to your festive cosmetic collection and a pot of joy to dip into.
These tiny sequin sensations create an elegant, versatile look and catch the light at every angle. What’s not to love? Go on, treat yourself - because you're worth it.

Christmas beauty
bits
It’s another year of ka‑ching for musical Christmas royalties - the annual bangers are blasting out everywhere (hiya, Mariah). The tree has arrived at your favourite local coffee shop, exquisitely dusted with fairy lights, and you’ve popped open the first window on your advent calendar.
Oh yes, it’s December once again - shopping bags are swinging and InPost parcel lockers are heaving. Yet we often find ourselves racking our brains over what to buy loved ones, slash not having the foggiest idea where to begin. A sensible place to start? Beauty and wellbeing products, of course.
Whether you're searching for super‑duper stocking fillers, a little something for Secret Santa, or have your heart set on gifting a magical self‑care pamper hamper, keep scrolling to explore a bargain beauty index.
In no particular order, I’ve rounded up twelve gorgeous gifts by Beauty Pie - so you can share a little something with love, even if they claim they don’t want a lot (or supposedly anything) for Christmas.
To quote Ms Carey, maybe there’s just one thing they need.

Garment gathering:
a feature for
February
There’s always a reason to expand our clothing collections and, quite frankly, why not when there’s an infinite mass of appealing apparel at our fingertips?
Maybe you’re part of the “I can’t resist community” or the “quick, click, purchase clan” - does it matter? You and me, both. After all, fashion is one of the most important forms of personal expression, and it’s often the case (even on a down day) that when you enjoy what you wear, it can help you feel a little more magical.
This month’s flavour, of course, means shops and sites are saturated with Valentine’s (and Galentines) garments, and part of you might think, here we go again - it’s one day in the calendar year, what’s the big deal? Appreciated by some and alienating for others, but like I said, we just can’t resist.
Whether a romantic date night is on the cards, brunch with your besties, or a solo night in showing up for yourself, it’s time for some extended browsing to find those boujee, classy or simply satisfying add‑to‑basket items for the 14th of February and beyond.
